SUMMARY:Fall Tsunami Youth Retreat
DESCRIPTION:The Fall Tsunami Retreat is scheduled for November 9 thru 11\, and times moves fast. We believe this will prove to be another exciting adventure for participants. The retreat is open to all Sea Island youth as well as parents and other adults who would like to chaperone. The current cost for food and lodging\, and other logistics is $180 per person. The full amount of the weekend is due no later than Sunday\, September 16\, 7:00 pm. No payments will be accepted after September 16 and there are no refunds. Know that you are in the hands of God and you are never alone.” Navigating Through Grief is an outreach of the Stephen Ministry that provides an environment of Christian love and encouragement for a healthy journey through the life-altering loss of a loved one.This time is for anyone experiencing grief who has a desire to meet others experiencing the same feelings. DESCRIPTION:Family Promise provides shelter and support to families withouta place to call home. As a host congregation\, SIPC becomes their home for one week each quarter. Families eat dinner and sleep at the church\, accompanied by volunteers who prepare meals and spend the night. During the day\, children go to school or daycare\, and parents either go to work or utilize the Family Promise Day Center in Bluffton to look for work or further their education.Volunteers are needed for set up\, hosting\, clean up\, and laundry.
