Sisters and Brothers in Christ.
As Hurricane Irma moves closer to Florida, it is projected that the storm will move north through Florida and make an approach to the coast and low country of South Carolina. We are well within the target area. Please pay attention to all weather related announcements, heed the warnings, and make appropriate plans for evacuation.
In light of the most recent advisories provided by the National Weather Service and the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Department Emergency Services, please be advised that all worship services, scheduled events and programming are suspended until further notice. Looking to the days ahead, may you, your family and loved ones, friends and neighbors, abide in the peace and comfort of the triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
In the hope that Hurricane Irma will pass us by and make its way into the sea, may we lift our hearts with the Psalmist and pray, “Let my cry come before you, O Lord; give me understanding according to your word. Let my supplication come before you; deliver me according to your promise.” (Psalm 119:169 ff.) Amen.
Peace and Grace,
Steve Keeler, Senior Pastor
