We continue to monitor Hurricane Matthew. Due to the strong probability that the storm will have a major impact on our community, we are canceling all Sunday activities, including worship and programming for children and youth. The stated meeting of the Session Council, scheduled for Monday, is also canceled.
We continue to lift our prayers for those in Haiti and the Caribbean who have already been impacted by Matthew, and pray for the safety of our sisters and brothers in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina who will be impacted. We pray that all who make the coast their home have been able to relocate to safety until the storm has passed.

Please be advised that in response to weather forecasts and projections for the path of Hurricane Matthew all church activities, including Kirk Night and music rehearsals, are suspended through Saturday, effective immediately. Tropical storm-force winds are predicted for our area beginning on or around 4:00 pm Friday afternoon. Steps are currently underway to secure the church campus and the church office. If the Governor and state agencies call for an evacuation, re-entry into Beaufort will not be immediate. Sunday worship services for October 9 are pending. As the wind blows and the water rises, may we abide in the safety and refuge of the Lord. (Psalm 69:1 ff.)
