Women’s Ministries

With a history of more than 200 years, the Presbyterian Women’s organization is committed to nurturing faith, supporting the church’s mission, working for justice and building community. It is organized at all levels of the Presbyterian Church (USA) in congregations, presbyteries and synods as well as General Assembly. Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, members of the PW organization commit themselves to nurturing faith through prayer and Bible study, to supporting the mission of the church worldwide, to working for justice and peace, and to building an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (USA) and witnesses to the promise of God’s kingdom.

Now Studying

This year, the SIPC Women’s circles are studying the Beatitudes using a study guide written by Margaret Aymer. The Beatitudes are among the most beloved teachings of Jesus, as well as the most pointed. This study invites us to consider the meaning of the Beatitudes in the first century and today and then to confess those truths in our words and in our lives.
