Children’s Choirs

Children of all ages and experience levels are invited and encouraged to give praise to God through singing. To learn more about any of the children’s choirs, contact Charles Frost, Minister of Music.

Angel Choir

Children age four – kindergarten
This choir will experience the joy of singing informally together. They also use movement activities and games.
Rehearsals are Wednesdays, 6:30 – 7:15pm

Cherub Choir

Children in 1st and 2nd grades
The children in this choir learn simple Scripture songs, unison anthems, and play games to introduce them to basic music concepts such as high and low, soft and loud, fast and slow. They sing in worship regularly.
Rehearsals are Wednesdays, 6:30 – 7:15pm

Covenant Choir

Children in 3rd – 5th grades
The children in this choir begin to learn music in two parts and music concepts. They participate in worship on a regular basis. Special activities include lock-ins and a spring musical.

Coventry Ringers

Children in 4th – 8th grades
This group will learn the fundamentals of handbell ringing. No experience is necessary.
Rehearsals are Wednesdays, 5:50 – 6:30pm

Music Camp

June 11-15, 2012
Each summer, this week-long, half-day camp immerses children in music and creative expression. Activities include choir, handbells, guitar, African drums, art exploration, movement, recreation, and more. Children entering grades 3 – 8 are invited to participate. Registration begins in the spring.
