Weekly Services

Worship encompasses much more than just coming to church on Sunday. Christian worship joyfully ascribes all praise, honor, glory, and power to the triune God in every aspect of life. For many of us, weekly worship is the central act of Christian identity. Worship in community is a way we see God’s larger purpose for our lives and is a way to be renewed and transformed in the peace, love, grace, and mercy of Christ.

Sunday Mornings

Sunday worship at Sea Island uses the traditional liturgy of the Presbyterian Church, including hymns, responsive readings, organ music, and choral music. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. Children are invited to participate in worship with their family. Sea Island Presbyterian celebrates the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of each month.
Worship for Early Birds: Sundays @ 8:30am
Worship with Kirk Choir: Sundays @ 10:30am

Sunday Evening Vespers

Evening Vespers offers a quiet, reflective service where the Lord’s Supper is celebrated each week.
Sundays @ 5:00pm.

Three times each year, the Deacons host a Service of Wholeness in conjunction with Evening Vespers. Healing was an integral part of Jesus’ ministry that the church is called to continue as one dimension of our concern for the wholeness of people in body, mind, and spirit. The vital element of a service for wholeness is prayer: prayer of thanksgiving for God’s promise of wholeness and prayer of intercession for those needing healing. These prayers are enacted by anointing with oil and the laying on of hands. All are welcome to the Service of Wholeness with the recognition that neither our earnestness, skill, nor faith enable healing; healing is the gracious gift of God.

Stewardship

Your offering is a prod to live at your very best, showing your gratitude to God by being openly obedient to the plain meaning of the Message of Christ. – 2 Corinthians 9:13, The Message

Stewardship is an important part of a Christian’s faith journey because through good stewardship of our resources and relationships, followers of Christ carry out the words we proclaim in week in worship. Our giving is an expression of our faith in God’s ability to provide for our needs and a commitment to care for brothers and sisters in need. As you consider what it means to be a follower of Christ, also consider how God is calling you to be a good steward of your resources, including your time, talents, and treasures.
