A Place to Worship, Grow, and Belong

Whether you’ve been in church your whole life or are just beginning to explore faith, you are welcome here.

We’re a service-oriented congregation and we open our doors to welcome several non-profit organizations from the Beaufort community to meet regularly on our church campus.

7 Days a Week

We’re an active church campus with opportunities to get involved and serve throughout the week.

Local & Global

We have Ministries that care for our church family, Beaufort community, as wells as national and global neighbors.

What We Believe

Presbyterian, Reformed, and centered on God’s Grace

Sea Island Presbyterian Church is part of the Presbyterian Church (USA), a Reformed Christian tradition that emphasizes God’s sovereignty, the gift of grace, the lordship of Jesus Christ, and the authority of Scripture.

Christ-Centered

Jesus Christ is at the center of our worship, life together, and mission in the world.

Grounded in Scripture

We look to the Bible as the foundation for faith, worship, and daily living.

Saved by Grace

In the Reformed tradition, we believe salvation is God’s gift of grace, not something we earn.

Called to Serve

We seek to live with compassion, reconciliation, peace, and love for our neighbors.

A place to belong

You don’t need to have it all figured out to belong here

Whether you’re returning to church, exploring faith for the first time, or looking for a church home, Sea Island Presbyterian Church welcomes you with grace, friendship, and room to grow.

We’re a family of faith that values each other

  • Questions are welcome
  • Faith is nurtured
  • Community is real
  • Everyone has a place

our story

A church family formed to worship, serve, and share life together.

From our beginning, we’ve emphasized Sunday morning worship, learning and fellowship, and quality pastoral care. That early focus still shapes who we are today. We want to be a church where faith is lived out with joy, compassion, purpose, and hope.

Chartered in 1988

Sea Island Presbyterian Church started as a new church development of Charleston Atlantic Presbytery:

  • Our first worship service was in 1991 with Pastor Steve Keeler.
  • Our Sanctuary was completed in 1995
  • Our Day School opened in 1998
  • We renovated our worship and gathering spaces in 2019
  • God continues to faithfully grow our congregation

A Consistent Focus

We’ve always been committed to worship, discipleship, missions, education, and caring for others:

  • supporting international missions
  • serving our local community through ministries such as our Day School and Safe Haven after-school program
  • participating in pilgrimages to Iona, Scotland
  • offering Christ-centered care and one-to-one support through Stephen Ministers and pastoral counseling.

Looking Ahead

Today, we continue moving forward with a clear vision:

  • be a vibrant evangelical Presbyterian congregation
  • remain rooted in the Reformed tradition
  • help people grow as faithful disciples of Jesus Christ through worship, prayer, Bible study, fellowship, and service.
