Serving at Sea Island

‘Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.’ Matthew 25:40

Serving One Another

We believe that as a family of faith we have a responsibility to serve one another. We look out for each other and help meet each other’s needs. We accomplish this through a number of vital ministries. From the greeters who welcome friends and strangers alike on a Sunday morning to the people who bring food to those who need a hot meal and a warm visit, no gift of service is insignificant. Through our serving one another, we bear witness to our Savior, Jesus, who set us an example by washing his friends’ feet and instructing them to do likewise.

“Each of you has been blessed with one of God’s many wonderful gifts to be used in the service of others. So use your gift well.” – 1 Peter 4:10

Reaching Out to Serve Others

Jesus lived among and ministered to poor and outcast residents of first century Palestine. Likewise, our Christian witness extends beyond the church walls into our families, community, and world. At SIPC, the Mission Committee leads the effort to give our money, time, and voice to those in need that they may know the good news of God’s love. We look to share that good news through evangelism, compassion ministries, and justice. Serving our neighbors is not only the work of a committee; it is the privilege and responsibility of every follower of Jesus.
