Why We Worship

Worship is the central act of Christian identity and worshipping Christ Jesus is at the heart of what it means to be human. We see God’s larger purpose for our lives through worship, and it is also a way to be renewed and transformed in the peace, love, grace, and mercy of Jesus. Worship is praising God through participation in the liturgy of the day (work of the people) and affirming our faith in Jesus Christ as Lord. Christian worship joyfully ascribes all praise and honor, glory and power to the triune God.

We invite you to join us for Worship

Each week we gather together for Christian Worship through music, Scripture, confession, preaching, and prayer. We offer two different services each week. The Lord’s Supper is celebrated the first Sunday of each month.

Traditional Worship with Welcoming People

We use the liturgy of the Presbyterian Church and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. Our traditional worship service includes hymns, responsive readings, organ music, as well as choral music. We pray the Lord’s Prayer together, sing the Doxology, and we affirm our faith with the words of The Apostle’s Creed. Sea Island Presbyterian celebrates the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of each month.View a Sample Bulletin

All Are Invited to Worship

Our congregation is a diverse mix of people, but we all share a common calling to follow Christ and to live the Jesus Way. We welcome all into our family of faith, receiving any neighbors who come searching for community as well as Christian sanctuary.
