Children in Worship
Children Have a Special Place at Sea Island
Just as Christ commanded his disciples to let the children come, we invite children to participate in worship at Sea Island. All children are welcomed and encouraged to worship with their family. Children and youth often participate in the Liturgy of the Sharing of the Peace. A Cry Room for parents and young children is easily accessible any time during worship.
Cry Room for Nursing and Care
Our Cry Room offers a place to nurse infants, soothe upset children, and also provide a space to move and play during worship. It is easily accessible from the Sanctuary, and has a bathroom, rocking chairs, sofa, and playthings for children. Parents and caregivers can participate in worship by viewing the service through windows into the Sanctuary, and listening through speakers.
Children’s Church
About midway through the worship service, children ages PreK through 3rd grade leave the sanctuary to attend Children’s Church. Children return before the end of service to join their family.
Children’s Choirs and Special Services
Our Angel and Covenant Choirs share music and ring bells. Children also share in the production of the Church Family Christmas program, as well as a Spring Musical.
