Christmas Pageant & Supper
Sunday, December 18

Our children are presenting the story of the Nativity on Sunday evening, December 18. Prior to the beginning of the pageant, scheduled for the sanctuary at 6:30 pm, a prime rib supper with potato and mixed vegetables will be served in the Fellowship Hall beginning at 5:30 pm. Proceeds and donations from the supper will support our children’s participation at the 2023 Montreat Worship & Music Conference. For planning purposes, reservations are accepted in the Narthex, Office Reception area, or by calling 843.525.0696.

Christmas Eve Candlelight Communion
December 24, 5:00 pm

Sea Island will celebrate Christmas Eve with a Candlelight Communion Service beginning at 5:00 pm in the sanctuary. In addition to singing Christmas Carols, hearing the gospel story of Christ’s birth, and breaking bread and sharing the cup of our Lord, we will light our respective Christmas candles as we sing, “Silent Night, Holy Night!”

1st Sunday of Christmas
10:30 am, December 26, in the Sanctuary

In fourteen short days, we will celebrate the birth of Emmanuel (God with us) in Bethlehem. In the tradition of the first Christmas when all was quiet and still, there will be one worship service which will be conducted at 10:30 am. We will read from the gospel of John and hear how the Word of God became flesh and lived among us. We will also recognize, again, that the liturgical year with its stories about Christ begins to accelerate as we transition from Christmas to Epiphany on January 6.
