Scotland Trip

Twenty four Sea Island pilgrims have just returned from a ten day sojourn visiting various venues across Scotland. Encountering difficulties in Oban with ferry transportation, the group was unable to make the trip to the island and Abby of Iona but were not daunted. The seafood capital of Scotland, Oban is a beautiful sea and fishing villages filled with wonderful pubs, restaurants, and shops. Enjoying stops in Inverness, the battlefield of Culloden, Aberdeen, Balmoral, St. Andrews, and finally Edinburgh, there are many forthcoming stories to tell.

Special Note for Confirmands – Past, Present & Future

For those who have participated in the last two Confirmation/Catechism Classes in addition to the 2023/24 Confirmation/Catechism Class, preliminary plans are underway for a 2024 trip to the island and Abbey of Iona with the group landing in Glasgow, traveling by train to Oban, ferrying to the Isle of Mull, catching an hour long bus ride to Fionnphort, and making a short ferry ride to Iona where the group will engage in hands-on work on the island in support of the Abbey and the ecumenical ministry conducted there. We pray that the ferry transportation will be well sorted out by then. Please see Steve and Kay Keeler for further details.
