Church Officer Nominations (Elder & Deacon)
Information regarding the nominating and electing church officers for the Class of 2025 is available in the Narthex and Office Reception Area. September 13 is the deadline for receiving nominations. The Nominating Committee consists of Kerry Bunton, Brian Chapman, Johanne Golcher, Debbie Mitchell, and Craig Norris serving as Chair.

John Partin and Chris Uhall are leading a study in the OT book of Genesis (Room 208), and Laura Dineen and Michalene Roberts will introduce our children to “Growing into God’s Love.” (Classroom across the hall from our Nursery)

Our kick-off for the 2023/24 season begins this afternoon with the annual kick ball contest between parents and students followed by a meal of “Walking Tacos” and energizers provided by our Senior Hi Youth. See you there!
Safe-Haven, After School Tutoring Ministry
This project started with a suggestion from the national Presbyterian Women organization for local churches to consider reaching out to neighborhoods within a one-mile radius. Working in relationship with the Beaufort Country School District, we receive children Monday thru Thursday, 3:30 to 6:00 pm, primarily from the Lady’s Island Elementary School and occasionally from Lady’s Island Middle and Beaufort Academy. Men’s Bible Study, Gospel of Luke
Thursday, 12 Noon to 1:00 pm, Room 208 Luke, a physician, paid special attention to people who were often overlooked: children, women, and the poor and his specific interest was in our salvation history, that Jesus Christ has come to save sinners.
Presbyterian Women
Thursday Evening, September 14, 6:00 pm, Fellowship Hall All women of the church are invited to the Sept. 14 Presbyterian Women Gathering. The morning and evening circles (small groups) are providing the meal with Julie Mabe providing the lesson on “Elizabeth’s sacred encounter from the Horizon’s Bible Study on the theme of Sacred Encounters. Wednesday Kirk Night Series “You Can’t Take It With You”
Begins September 20, with a 5:30 pm supper in the Fellowship Hall followed by the first of several presentations addressing death and grief, planning a funeral, estate planning, developing a Last Will & Testament etc. There will be choral groups for our children. Congregational Workday on the Church Campus
Saturday, September 30, 8:00 am until . . . .
We will gather on the church campus at around 8 and spend time trimming trees, cleaning gutters and chipping the limbs until around lunch when Steve will serve his world famous burgers. The front ditch and pond edge can always use weed eating. Not everyone is physically able to this type of work and the date might not fit your calendar, but if you would like to help we can always use help financially in renting lifts and chippers to help with the tasks.
