Sea Island Presbyterian Church would like to extend our gratitude to the Beaufort community for their support of our warming shelter this past weekend.

During the four nights we were open we shared warm meals (including a Christmas dinner), and offered hot showers, clothing, blankets, and the love and compassion of Christ to 25 of our unhoused neighbors.

Beaufort provided donations of their time as well as warm clothing, blankets, food, toiletries and more to our neighbors in need.

Special thanks to church staff and  Reggie Bythewood as well as the following businesses for their donations: Rain ‘n Bagels, Lowcountry Produce, Fripp Island Resort, Natural Retreats, Publix, Sea Eagle Market, The Salvation Army, Harris Pillow Supply, and Donovan Family Dentistry. If we left anyone off this list, it is not for a lack of gratitude.

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in…
