Men’s Breakfast

Scrambled eggs, bacon and grits and other fixin’s will be served tomorrow morning, February 25, 8:00 am in the Fellowship Hall for the monthly Men’s Breakfast, which always proves to be a good time for Christian fellowship and sharing. We will answer questions about the upcoming Men’s Retreat at Pair-a-Dice Island with the Rev. Dr. Steve Cobb from Richmond, VA.

Presbytery Meeting

Hugh Gouldthorpe, Steve Keeler, Mark McCain, and Richard Norris are representing Sea Island at the winter stated meeting of the Charleston Atlantic Presbytery tomorrow at the Peace Presbyterian Church, Goose Creek, SC. The docket will address the mission, work, and ministry of the presbytery.

Confirmation & Catechism

Confirmation & Catechism 2023 begins this Sunday following the 10:30 am worship service and is open to middle and high school students who wish to learn more about the Christian faith and are prepared to accept responsibility as active members of the church. The group will meet in Room 206 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Confirmands are asked to bring a bag lunch, a drink and especially their Bibles.

Lenten Series

A Lenten Series begins this Wednesday, March 1, as we gather in the Fellowship Hall beginning at 5:30 pm for a Spaghetti & Salad Supper. Cost for the meal is $5 per person with no charge for children and youth. Small groups have been developed for children, youth, and adults with the small groups meeting from 6:15 to 7:00 pm around the theme of “Meeting Jesus at the Table.”  Kirk Choir Rehearsal will round out the evening beginning at 7:00 pm in the Choir Room.

MADD

Our Children’s Ministry (MADD, Music, Art, Drama & Dance) is temporarily moving to a Wednesday format in order to prepare for the Easter Musical, “The Three Trees” on April 2. Children not involved in the small group for the Lenten Series will begin in the Choir Room at 6:15 pm and then move to the Sanctuary at 6:50 pm. The Children’s Ministry will return to their Sunday schedule for April 23 & 30, and May 7.

Presbyterian Women

There is a Sea Island Presbyterian Women Coordinating Committee meeting this Wednesday, March 1, 10:00 am, in Room 208. The value of the Presbyterian Women organization is demonstrated denomination wide as countless women show us how to live with purpose and hope, in certain and uncertain days.

In closing, may we be a blessing to the triune God as we seek to serve and help others in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. +
