Nominating Committee

Members Craig Norris, Elder Chair, Kerry Bunton, Brian Chapman, Johanne Golcher, and Debbie Mitchell have completed their work and meet Wednesday to finalize their report for the Session Council who will be asked to call a meeting of the congregation for the purpose of electing elder and deacon candidates for the Class of 2025.

Men’s Breakfast|
Saturday, November 5

We gather this coming Saturday beginning at 7:30 pm for another delicious breakfast prepared by Sam Schaeffer and Mike Yoakum. Our menu will consist of scrambled eggs, bacon, grits, and toast with orange juice and freshly brewed coffee. The breakfast is provided as an opportunity to enjoy an hour of Christian fellowship as we share mutual joys and concerns.

Witness to the Resurrection

Judith “Judy” Hultquist entered the Church Triumphant on Saturday, October 22, 2022, surrounded by family at Rolling Green Village in Greenville, SC. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, November 12, 2:00 to 2:45 pm at the Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Southeast Chapel, 1604 NE Main St., Simpsonville, SC followed by a Memorial Service beginning at 3:00 John and Judy Hultquist joyfully shared their many gifts with our community of faith and we give God thanksgiving for their strong Christian witness.

Stewardship Sunday
November 13

Recent bulletin inserts have emphasized the Four Pillars of Stewardship as they are manifested and lived out in the practice of our Christian faith: Personal, Community, Public, and Financial. Members and friends of Sea Island will be offered a moment during the 8:30 and 10:30 am worship services to share their commitment to these forms of stewardship in the coming new year.

Scotland Trip
May 22 – June 1, 2023

Our brochure, with itinerary and other information, has been forwarded to the print shop. Please watch for an announcement about a special introductory meeting for pilgrims wishing to visit and see the spiritual home of Presbyterianism. Cost of the trip is $4,995. Update your passport, do a little financial planning, and let Steve and Kay Keeler know of your interest.
