The Session Council voted last Monday to approve the staff position of Christian Education Coordinator and extended a call to “Emily” to serve in this capacity.She begins on October 1 and we look forward to “Emily” sharing her gifts with us as we continue to grow, mature and flourish in the faith. Witness to the Resurrection
LaNell Brem, Lorena, Texas, mother of Jerry (Heather) Brem, entered the Church Triumphant on September 10, 2025. The Brem’s shared a Celebration of Life with friends yesterday morning at the Grace Gardens Funeral Home, Woodway, TX. “The Lord delivers my soul from death, and my feet from falling, so that l may walk before God in the light of life.” (Psalm 56)
Patricia Shealy, Aiken, SC, mother of Judy (Van) Horton, entered the Church Triumphant on September 10, 2025. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 3 o’clock this afternoon at the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Johnston, SC. “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” (Psalm 46)
Madge Welch, Augusta, GA, grandmother of Ton (Kristen) Welch. entered the Church Triumphant on August 24, 2025. A Memorial Service was conducted on August 26 followed by a Committal Service at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Avera, GA. The Lord is my strength and my might; he has become my salvation.” (Psalm 118)
