Elders & Deacons-Elect
Officer Training in January

Church Officer Training, provided by Jim Deavor, Clerk of Session at the Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church, will be offered on January 5, 12, 26 & February 2 by way of Zoom and in person on January 24 at the presbytery office in North Charleston and by Zoom on February 2. This opportunity can also serve as a refresher course for Elders and Deacons serving in the Classes of 2026 and 2027. The training will include the areas of personal faith, knowledge of doctrine, government, and discipline as contained in the Constitution of the church, and the duties of ministry. Looking ahead, Elders and Deacons-Elect are scheduled to be examined in these areas of study at the monthly stated meeting of the Session Council on February 9 with their Ordination and Installation scheduled for Sunday, February 15, a week after the Super Bowl.
